Finals Week at Musselman Library

As you wrap up your spring semester, here are a few things to keep in mind from Musselman Library.
Extended Library Hours. Starting Friday, you can stay in the library even longer than usual. Friday, April 29 the library will remain open until 11:00pm. After opening early on Saturday morning at 8:00am, the Library will not close again until the following Saturday (May 7) at 5:00pm. This week of 24/7 library access provides you with more flexibility as you complete your final projects and prepare for exams.
Stress Relief. Stressed about finals? The library is here to help! During the last week of classes and finals week there is a “stress relief table” on the ground floor of the library. Soothe your soul with some therapeutic coloring while you help fill in one of the giant coloring sheets laid out on the table.
Finals Ice Cream Break. Mark your calendar for Monday, May 2 from 8pm-10pm, as the library will be hosting its semi-annual Finals Study Break, featuring an ice cream sundae bar with a variety of toppings. The event will take place on the ground floor of Musselman Library in Room 18, with games, music, and crafts to help you de-stress. Come enjoy a frosty treat with your friends!
Research Help. The research librarians are available to help you with your last minute research questions or citation dilemmas. Through Tuesday at 5:00pm, you can just stop by the research help desk, call 717-337-6600, text 717- 473-4532, or use the chat box on the library webpage. The research help desk will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but librarians will be available in Room 102 on the main floor of the library. Stop by during the day or email ask@gettysburg.edu, and a librarian will assist you as soon as possible.
Return Library Materials. ALL library materials, including items borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, are due back to Musselman Library by no later than Friday, May 6 (although, depending on when you checked them out, your items may be due back earlier!).
*Seniors: note that all library charges are due to the Finance Office by 9:00am Monday, May 9.
Summer Reading. Before you leave for the summer, grab a copy of the new You’ve Gotta Read This! Summer Reading @ Musselman Library booklet for summer reading (and viewing) recommendations from Gettysburg College faculty and staff!
