Senior Jessica Porter knocked down her 1000th point on a free throw attempt against Ursinus College on Thursday, January 14. Porter’s double-double, with twenty-one points and ten rebounds, was a huge asset in the 61-54 win over the Bears. This game marked the end of a five year losing streak against Ursinus.

Porter’s leadership on the court has been a strong contributor to the Bullets’ 10-3 overall record this season.

“Each game, I try to promote high energy and confidence,” said Porter.

The two-time All-Conference player boasts over 45% from both the field and the free throw line, averaging over fourteen points per game. Porter also recorded thirteen steals and eighteen blocks on the defensive end this season.

“Our program continues to take great pride in our defensive abilities,” said Porter. “I think we’ve done a good job learning our new coach’s system this year. It took teamwork in order to get everyone on the same page and trusting each other in the new sets.”

The Bullets have a full season ahead of them, looking forward to the Centennial Conference Championship in late February.
