Extended Library Services During Finals Week

By Meggan Smith, Musselman Library Correspondent

The end of the semester is here, and Musselman Library is happy to offer some sweet extra services to help get you through your finals week.

Stress Relief Table. Through the end of finals week the Ground floor of the library will be featuring a Stress Relief Table. Give yourself a break from studying with the coloring pages, crayons, markers, and fun craft ideas available. The table is there for use whenever the library is open, so whether you are in the building during the quiet morning hours or staying late for the midnight coffee cart, the stress relief will be available when you need it.

Extended Library Hours. Starting the last day of classes, you can stay in the library even longer than usual. Friday, December 11 the library will remain open an extra 3 hours, until 11pm. The library will then open its doors at 10am on Saturday, and will not close again until the following Saturday (December 19) at 5pm. Enjoy 24/7 library access while finishing up your final projects and preparing for your exams.

Finals Study Break. On Monday, December 14 Musselman Library will be hosting its semi-annual Finals Study Break. Join us from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Library Room 018 (Ground floor) to relax, play games, eat snacks, and participate in various crafts and art projects. This year, there will again be the opportunity to decorate cupcakes! Come enjoy the food and games with friends!

Research Help. The research librarians will be standing by to help you with your last minute research questions or citation dilemmas. Through Tuesday, December 15 until 5pm you can just swing by the research help desk, call 717-337-6600, text (717) 473-4532, or use the chat box on the library webpage. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the research help desk will be closed, but librarians will be available in Room 102 on the main floor of the library. Stop on by during the day, or email ask@gettysburg.edu, and a librarian will assist you as soon as possible.

Good luck with your finals! We will see you in January!
