The Figure in Art gallery is a student-curated show from Professor Yan Sun’s Methods in Art History course in which the students chose an object from our Special Collections in Musselman Library. Students did extensive research on their art works and used art history methodologies learned in class to discover more information about their chosen art works. These works depict figures in art that range from ancient artworks to contemporary works that express ideas of politics, religion devotion and social ideals. These art works are now going to be showcased in the Schmucker Art Gallery in the project space section, and we are having a Gallery Talk on Nov. 6, 2015 at 5 p.m. with a reception following from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
