The Gettysburg men’s cross country team aims to wrap up its Centennial Conference bid this Saturday. Sophomore Bobby Weisensee is among the Bullets’ young talent, and will surely play a crucial role this weekend.

Weisensee has certainly stepped up his game as the season comes to its close. The sophomore finished in the top 20 at last week’s Lebanon Valley College Invitational, contributing vital points that allowed the Bullets to finish 4th.

“This season has been a good one for both myself and the team,” Weidensee said. “We’ve seen great performances all around, and we’re only looking to build on that for the championships.”

Weisensee and the Bullets have consistently placed among the top third of the competition this season. With continued effort, the squad is eager to make gains this Saturday.

“I’m optimistic for the championships. We have a solid and positive team with an impressive amount of talent. If we all put in the same effort we’ve been giving all season, I’m sure we’ll see the results we’re looking for,” said Weidensee.

Weisensee looks to improve upon his First-Year Centennial Conference finish of 87th.

Bobby and the rest of the Bullets look to end the 2015 Centennial Conference bid on a high note this Saturday. With Weisensee and a pack of strong young talent on their side, the Bullets certainly have a fighting chance. Bobby’s positive attitude and breakout performance in the late season have earned him the title of “Bullet of the Week.”
